Set up a dotphoto screensaver on your Roku device or Roku TV

Roku is a TV streaming app that is build into many TVs and can be added to a TV as an additional device. For instance, see the Roku Ultra:  https://www.roku.com/products/roku-ultra

As of May 2023, Roku has 72 million active users of its devices and TVs. Even if you do not have a Roku device, you can share photos from dotphoto to a free Roku account to share photos directly to friend's TVs.

Add photos from dotphoto to your Roku screensaver app

OVERVIEW

1. Sign into photostreams.roku.com with your Roku account or create a free Roku account.
   OPTIONAL: Edit your photos on dotphoto so you can fill the entire TV screen. Edit a photo for TVs
2. Sign into dotphoto and add photos directly to Roku Photo Streams from dotphoto.
3. On your TV, sign into Roku Photo Streams and set Photo Streams as your Roku Screensaver as home screen on Roku.

STEP-BY-STEP PROCEDURE

1. Sign into photostreams.roku.com with your Roku account or create a free Roku account.
   If you don't have a Roku device, you can still set up a free Roku account to send photos to Roku users. If you don't want to add a credit card, back out of the join process when Roku requests the credit card. Your account will still work.
   OPTIONAL: Edit your photos on dotphoto so you can fill the entire TV screen. Click here to see how to edit photos for a TV. 
2. Sign into dotphoto and add photos directly to your Roku account.  
   In dotphoto, tap on your photo and then on the Share icon
   Copy the Image link
   In Roku Photo Streams, tap Add photos
   
   Tap Upload, then paste the dotphoto link in the File name and tap Open.
   When you have added your photos, tap the Done button.
   
3. On your TV, sign into Roku Photo Streams and set Photo Streams as your Roku Screensavers home screen on Roku.
   Choose the Photo Streams app. You will see that the photo has been added to your photostream.
   

You can also tap on the Screensaver icon in Roku's Photo Streams to preview or manage your screensaver.

When your TV is not displaying anything or is paused for a short while, the screensaver will automatically display your photos from dotphoto.
