How can I unzip a downloaded file? Is there a free unzip tool?

When a dotphoto member downloads an album, the album is "zipped" in a compressed format that enables you to download it faster.

WINDOWS USERS

Windows 10 and later support unzipping files. Follow the instructions here:
To unzip files
  • Open File Explorer and find the zipped folder.
  • To unzip the entire folder, right-click to select Extract All, and then follow the instructions.
  • To unzip a single file or folder, double-click the zipped folder to open it. Then, drag or copy the item from the zipped folder to a new location.
If you have an older version of Windows, you can download a free unzip program here:  https://www.7-zip.org/

APPLE DEVICES

To unzip files
  • Open the Files app, then find the ZIP file or archive you want to uncompress.
  • Tap the ZIP file or archive.
  • A folder is created containing the files. To change its name, touch and hold on the folder, then tap Rename.
