Metallic Prints

As of June 1, 2023, Metallic Prints are no longer available from dotphoto. 


The last day for Metallic Print orders was May 31, 2023. Metallic prints were wonderful silver halide products, but the century-old silver halide process has been replaced by digital printing and lamination that provide more reliable true-color printing. As silver halide has been replaced, the support for chemical variations like Metallic printing has declined and the cost has increased to the point where we believe Metallic printing will be greatly reduced.

NOTE: The difference between Metal Prints and Metallic Prints is that Metal Prints are printed on actual metal; Metallic Prints are printed on a special paper that has a metallic sheen, but Metallic Prints are paper prints.
